Tash is an experienced researcher, facilitator, grant writer and innovation specialist with a passion for sustainable primary industries and new technology. In 2016 she co-founded and leads AgriStart Pty Ltd, trading as Innovation Cluster, which focuses on empowering innovative businesses to support regional development. Tash designed and delivered WA’s first Agtech Accelerator program HARVEST, which has successfully supported over 40 businesses since 2018. In 2019, AgriStart established 3 regional innovation hubs as part of their CONNECT program supporting 50 regional businesses through a 6 month incubator. In partnership with South West Angels, Tash is also delivering investment ready programs across regional WA, including the Kimberley, in 2020/21. She is also a part-time Facilitator for Accelerating Commercialisation.
Tash comes from a farming family in Cunderdin and has a background as an Agricultural Scientist, with a PhD in Plant Biology and qualifications in university teaching, research commercialisation, leadership and is a graduate of the AICD. She holds several board, advisory and volunteer roles including with the South West Angels, GRDC, Carbon Conscious Investments, Busselton Jetty and has been on the judging panel for the WA Innovator of the Year awards since 2015.
